Ducan Industries Inc. is located in Lethbridge, Alberta, a unique corner of the province known for its immense skies and tremendous winds.
More than 70 people come to work everyday at our 51,000 square foot facility in Lethbridge’s Industrial Park. As a company that has become more vertically integrated, the wide range of manufacturing processes that occur inside will impress visitors to our plant. From a sizeable warehouse of designer patterns we lay fabric out onto wide-width tables to be cut by a Computerized Automated Gerber Fabric Cutter.
More than thirty sewing machines buzz continually, sewing together cushions, inside backs, insulated dividers, bedspreads, curtains and other products.
Large blocks of varying densities and compression factors of foam are lined up to be cut by our horizontal and vertical foam saws. Large conveyers, pickers and workers heat chambers to process our fiber for stuffing into sofa backs or quilt machines for further processing.
Metal working machines such as coilers, spring assemblers, brake presses, hydraulic-computerized bending machines and other equipment produce parts, all while welders zap the metal frames together.
Vertical panel saws, cutters and jigsaws cut wood to make our entire range of superior performing wood frames.
These processes are all visible within our facility and are constantly being performed by an exceptional team of employees dedicated to producing a quality product.
The owners and staff at Ducan are pleased to be part of the Southern Alberta community. We participate and support many causes in our community such as Operation Red Nose, Crime Stoppers, Youth Basketball, the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, local schools, the University of Lethbridge Athletics, the Toy Run, Canadian Cancer Society and many more.
We are proud of our products and our facility and conduct scheduled tours for the public.
